I’m interested in translating the Hydrian Culture through a romantic and expressive way of an islander’s lense. The fleeting moments that carry habits, tradition and colour are the ones that inspire me the most! Fish, however, are a common theme for my subject matter as well, letting me paint without the forced and framed exposure of a face. Fish have become a mediator between me and the viewer, creating a translucent environment effective enough for my emotions to pass through.
